TRUE TO THE DIRECTOR'S VISION
Panasonic's high-end 4K Pro televisions are designed to deliver picture quality accurate to the filmmaker's original vision. They combine Panasonic's cutting-edge Studio Master HCX processors with professional quality colour management technology and wide colour range displays to capture every nuance of the original film
4K UHD TVs can deliver four times as much resolution as Full HD TVs, letting you enjoy pictures with far more detail, texture, depth and colour definition. Many describe the 4K effect as more like looking through a window than watching a screen. The arrival of 4K alongside new brightness- and contrast-boosting High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology means Panasonic can get closer than ever before to its guiding principle of recreating TV pictures that look true to the vision of the film-maker – especially when you add Panasonic’s 4K PRO technology to the equation.
This combines a new professional-grade Studio Master HCX+ processing engine (which improves colour, contrast and brightness/lighting control to a level that approaches professional studio monitors) with tuning straight from Hollywood and new custom-made Wide Colour Spectrum panels to deliver pictures that really do look exactly as their creators intended them to look.
WHAT IS HDR
High Dynamic Range (HDR) content on HDR enabled televisions deliver images much closer to the way your eyes actually see the real world. Deep blacks are combined with very bright highlights to produce a level of reality not previously possible on a television - unless it's one of Panasonic's Premium HDR screens with their industry-leading brightness.
Award-winning cinematographer Vanja Cernjul, who helped bring the Netflix original series Marco Polo and Orange Is The New Black to life on screen for millions of viewers worldwide, has worked with Panasonic to shoot and direct a cinematic short film exploring the way Panasonic VIERA 4K Ultra HD Premium TVs aithfully reproduce the director’s vision: “When I first utilised the power of HDR, the first thing that amazed me was how much detail I could see. In a single scene I could now retain highlights in a fire and detail in the shadows. The control is simply stunning.”
HOLLYWOOD IN YOUR LIVING ROOM
The latest generation of Panasonic TVs reproduce the director’s vision more accurately than ever before. To get the best from the dazzling new picture quality ushered in by the arrival of 4K UHD and HDR technologies, Panasonic has created a whole new category of LCD: the Professional Cinema Display.

FINDING THE RIGHT TELEVISION FOR YOU
Our new 4K UHD models are identified with "DX" and divided into 6 Series: DX902, 802, 750, 700, 650 (exclusive to Currys) and 600. Like a car brand, each Series denotes a different body shape and core technology. Our screen size (measured diagonally, corner to corner) is the model differentiator within each Series - like a car's engine capacity. The higher the Series number the better picture performance. The DX902 is our highest performance model, with technology taken from our professional studio monitors. The designation 4K Pro is applied to our top 3 Series, as they share many high performance characteristics. The DX802 is aimed at those looking for a television with a distinctive design, one that doesn't sacrifice picture quality. The DX750, like the other 4K Pro models, has a picture tuned by Hollywood experts - so you can see exactly what they shot. HDR compatibility trickles down to the best selling DX700 Series, while the DX650 and 600 offer 4K performance at competitive prices.
The choice of television is a personal matter, with many things to consider (eg screen size, space at home, budget etc.) we try our best to give you as much information as possible on this website (you can read about each model in detail below and see explanations of our core technology), but there's no substitute for going to a shop to see the models for yourself. Our Premier dealers are trained to explain the range and, above all, to show you the TVs in action. It's difficult to do a technology like 4K justice on a website and we certainly can't demonstrate HDR - but our dealers can. We're confident that you'll understand why we believe our televisions have a picture performance that's True to the Director's Vision.
