Highlights from Panasonic at CES 2019

18th January 2018 – Panasonic has celebrated another successful year at CES 2019, releasing a whole host of exciting new products at the show.

Top Product Announcements

Technics SL-1200MK7 Direct Drive Turntable

At the forefront of momentous moments from CES 2019 was the unveiling of the new SL12000MK7 Direct Drive Turntable. Markedly, the model was launched as the first new standard DJ turntable in approximately nine years. The SL-1210MK7 inherits the traditional design of the same series and maintains the same operating ease, reliability and unrivalled durability, while adding a new coreless direct drive motor and other sound-enhancing technologies. It also features new DJ play functions, such as reverse playback.

Technics EAH-F70N and EAH-F50B Headphones

If one unveiling wasn’t enough, Technics announced the launch of two new wireless headphones, the EAH-F70N and EAH-F50B. Both models support LDAC/apt-X HD for wireless, high-res-equivalent sound reproduction. Backed by high rigidity and high internal damping, the use of a 40-mm dynamic drivers, consisting of composite performance film (CPF) diaphragm and precise air control structure enables the new models to faithfully reproduce the delicate nuances of music and dynamic sound. The EAH-F70 features Technics' original wide-band hybrid active noise-cancelling to allow immersion in music under virtually any environment.

GZ2000 OLED Television
Within a dedicated ‘Hollywood to your Home TV Event’ full of avid enthusiasts and industry specialists, Panasonic launched the new state-of-the-art GZ2000. The model is the world’s first OLED TV to support both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision HDR as well as HLG Photo, the new still image format which brings still photography into the HDR world. Furthermore, the GZ2000 is the world’s first TV with built-in upward-firing speakers capable of delivering Dolby Atmos® immersive audio with total ease and convenience. The total audio system has also been tuned by Technics engineers. With support for voice assistants, the GZ2000 can integrate seamlessly with a smart home setup.

DP-UB150 and DP-UB450 Blu-Ray Players

Within the realm of Blu-ray, Panasonic utilised CES 2019 as an ideal platform to launch its latest Ultra HD Blu-ray players: the DP-UB150 and DP-UB450 series. Both models support HDR10+ dynamic metadata technology and the UB450 series also offers Dolby Vision. By optimising the brightness of each image, scene by scene, these cutting-edge HDR formats faithfully reproduce HDR images that faithfully match the creator’s original intentions. Thanks to these image-optimising technologies, both the DP-UB150 and DP-UB450 series deliver a highly cinematic experience with richly textured images.

LUMIX S Series Cameras: S1 and S1R

Further to the development announcement made at Photokina late last year, Panasonic teased key specifications of its highly anticipated S1 and S1R full frame mirrorless cameras available in March. The new features released include HLG photo, which allows images to be shot with a wider dynamic range, and a high resolution mode to capture precise details and produce a beautiful, highly realistic image.

Panasonic Automotive Connects LiveWire, Harley-Davidson's First Electric Motorcycle
