Panasonic Celebrates World Environment Day with Tree Planting Initiative in Chambok Community, Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia

In honor of World Environment Day, employees of Panasonic in Cambodia took part in a meaningful tree planting activity in the Chambok Community, located in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. The initiative is part of Panasonic’s global ECO RELAY program, which empowers employees to act as "sustainability ambassadors" and take hands-on steps toward protecting the environment.

Now in its second year in Cambodia, the initiative saw Panasonic staff plant nearly 1,000 trees in the past couple of years—an effort that contributes to building a more resilient ecosystem, strengthening local biodiversity, and reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to combating climate change and supporting community development through environmental stewardship.

“This initiative truly reflects our team’s dedication to environmental sustainability,” said Mr. Hisakazu Maeda, Chief Representative of Panasonic Cambodia. “We are incredibly proud of our staff for their passion and hard work. It’s inspiring to witness such strong collective action aimed at making a lasting impact.”

The Chambok Community, recognized for its rich natural resources and community-based ecotourism efforts, served as a fitting location for this year's activity. By collaborating with residents and environmental organizations, Panasonic continues to bridge corporate values with on-the-ground impact, making sustainability a shared goal.
