Announcement of Partnership between Panasonic, Daiichi-life and JISPP

Panasonic Cambodia, a division of the renowned Japanese multinational electronics company, has announced a strategic partnership with the Japanese International School of Phnom Penh (JISPP). This collaboration is part of Panasonic's ongoing commitment to enhancing education facilities in Cambodia.

The official inauguration of JISPP took place on July 11, 2024, in Phnom Penh. The event was a significant milestone for Cambodian education, marking the introduction of the Japanese national curriculum taught in English, a first for the country. The ceremony was attended by notable figures such as Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron and the Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E. Atsushi Ueno.

JISPP, supported by Panasonic Cambodia and other Japanese entities including Wonderfy Inc., Mammy’s Family Co. Ltd., and Daiichi-life Cambodia, aims to provide high-quality education accessible to the local community. The school, which initially serves children aged 2-6 years, emphasizes safety protocols aligned with Japanese standards.

Mr. Hisakazu Maeda, Chief Representative of Panasonic in Cambodia, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative. "We are excited to launch this initiative to support Japanese education in Cambodia. By fostering a greater understanding of Japanese language and culture, we aim to contribute to the development of global-minded individuals who can contribute to the sustainable development of both Cambodia and Japan," said Maeda.
