Matcha Red Bean Cheese Cake

This cheesecake is a wholesome twist on a classic dessert, combining the antioxidant-rich benefits of matcha green tea with the natural sweetness and fibre of red beans. The earthy bitterness of matcha balances perfectly with the subtly sweet red beans, creating a satisfying dessert that’s packed with flavour.

For base
- 150 gDigestive biscuits
- 50 gButter, melted
- 150 gRed bean paste
For cheese cake fillig
- 400 gCream cheese
- 2 nosEgg
- 100 gCastor sugar
- 120 mlCream
- 1 tbspCorn starch
- 1 tbspLemon juice
- 2½ tbsp Matcha powder
Steps
1) For the base, place digestive biscuits into Panasonic Food Processor to blend until smooth. Then, add in butter and mix well.
2) Prepare a 7-inch cake ring and transfer the crust mixture into it and press down firmly. Chill in the fridge for 2 hours.
3) For cheese cake filling, cream the cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Next, add in eggs and cream, mix until well combined. .
4) Portion out 350g of the filling and add in matcha powder. Mix until well combined.
5) Preheat Panasonic Cubie Oven, select STEAM BAKE -> 140˚C ->PRE-HEAT -> START.
6) To assemble, spread red bean paste onto the base evenly and press firmly. Then, pour in white cheese cake filling onto it and freeze for 10-15 minutes. Next, pour the matcha cheese cake filling on top and smooth the top surface.
7) Place it into preheated Panasonic Cubie Oven, select 30 MINUTES -> START.
8) Remove cheese cake from oven and set aside to cool completely. Best to chill in the fridge for overnight before serving.
