How Your Microwave Could Help You Save the Environment – Love Food Hate Waste
Food waste impacts our environment – fact. Every time we throw away good food, we contribute to the climate change problem. That’s why we collaborated with Love Food Hate Waste in March to spread the word about Food Waste Action Week, but we’re not stopping there.
From planning portions, and keeping an eye on labels, to looking at how you cook your food, there are simple steps you can take to make sure you’re doing your bit to help, including maximising your microwave to show your leftovers some love. Yes, it really is that simple!
Maximise Your Microwave
If food waste were a country, it would have the third biggest carbon footprint after the USA and China. This means cooking your leftovers to perfection is an easy way to ensure nothing goes to waste, so you can help to fight climate change, all whilst enjoying a delicious meal.
With multiple unique auto programs to easily cook a range of popular dishes, your Panasonic Microwave offers an easy way to do just that. Taking the guess work out of reheating your food, the Auto Cook function is combined with our Genius Sensor, so you simply need to select ‘Auto Cook’ and hit Start, then let the Genius Sensor determine when your food reaches the optimum temperature.
With Auto Menu able to calculate optimum cooking times for baked bread rolls, frozen pizzas, roast beef, grilled chicken, steamed whole fish and more, the possibilities are endless.
