LUMIX’s unique colour science, based on its picture-making philosophy “Capturing It All,” works in harmony with a 24.2MP BSI CMOS sensor to produce stunningly lifelike images. Additionally, by combining this sensor with a high-performance image processing engine featuring L2 technology, the camera delivers exceptionally delicate and natural rendering of reality, with both high resolution and low noise.

The 24.2-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor delivers exceptional image clarity, precise rendering, and a wide dynamic range, all while enabling fast and accurate autofocus using phase detection sensor. Its high-speed readout capabilities also support rapid burst shooting, achieving an advanced balance of sensitivity and resolution.

While processing image data from the sensor at high speed, the engine produces high-resolution images with natural textures. New intelligent detail processing and advanced noise reduction ensure exceptional image quality, sensitivity, and colour reproduction. It also processes open gate 6K 30p (3:2) video recording at high speed.

Clear and realistic images with a low-pass filterless design

Removing the optical low-pass filter maximises the high-resolution performance of both the S Series lens and image sensor, enabling exceptionally realistic images that capture the textures of wildlife fur, the dimensionality of trees composing forest landscapes, and the expansive depth of open skies.

Dual Native ISO technology

Panasonic's unique Dual Native ISO Technology employs two dedicated circuits per pixel: a low ISO sensitivity circuit and a low-noise, high ISO sensitivity circuit. By automatically switching between these two circuits, it significantly reduces noise at higher sensitivities, enabling images with a more natural and beautiful appearance.

Standard mode serves as the benchmark for the LUMIX picture-making philosophy of “Capturing It All.” It accurately captures subjects as they truly are, achieving a fine balance between memory colours and reproduction. Additionally, depending on the shooting scene or your creative intent, you can choose from various photo styles, including Vivid, Natural and unique monochrome settings. You can also adjust contrast and colour saturation to suit your personal preferences.

LEICA Monochrome
Leica is well known for its superior picture quality and has a reputation from users all over the world for its outstanding depiction and expressiveness. Through our L2 Technology collaboration, we learned the picture-making philosophy that Leica has built up over its long history and realised this mode as one of the new expressiveness of the LUMIX camera. It features deep contrasts between black and white.

･Compared to LUMIX’s L.Monochrome D, LEICA Monochrome shows brighter images on highlights, and generally strong and dynamic monochrome.

LUMIX’s first-ever* support for HEIF recording

In addition to the conventional JPEG and RAW formats, this camera now supports HEIF recording in 4:2:0 10-bit. Delivering rich 10-bit tonal gradation, the HEIF format offers higher compression efficiency than JPEG while supporting HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) photos. When viewed on an HDR display, images display natural brightness and colour gradation, allowing you to enjoy results that more closely match human visual perception.

96MP ultra-high-resolution photos

Handheld High Resolution shooting
The camera is equipped with a high-resolution mode, allowing you to capture even the finest details. Utilising the in-body image stabilisation (B.I.S.) system, it shifts the image sensor while continuously shooting, and by automatically combining eight shots, it generates an image equivalent to approximately 96MP. It supports both RAW and JPEG or in-camera RAW processing, delivering detailed expression with LUMIX's signature rendering. The LUMIX S1IIE Camera also supports this mode in handheld situations, making it flexible for use in locations where a tripod cannot be used.

Your unique colour expressions, straight out of the camera

REAL TIME LUT
REAL TIME LUT is a feature that allows you to apply a LUT (Look-Up Table) directly within the camera for unique colour expression. You can also create your own custom LUTs. In other words, this feature can be described as a way to "create an infinite number of photo styles." You can import LUTs provided by the LUMIX Lab app or your favourite creators online directly into the camera for both photo and video shooting. Additionally, you can layer two LUTs together to develop your own unique colour styles. The supported LUT file formats are ".VLT" and ".CUBE".

LUMIX Lab app

LUMIX Lab is an app for iOS and AndroidTM devices, enabling wireless connectivity and control between LUMIX cameras and smartphones. Also, once you have transferred the image data from your camera to your smartphone, you can use the app to apply LUTs or create your own original LUTs using the app’s colour adjustment function.

AFC burst shooting at 30 fps

The LUMIX S1IIE delivers up to 30 fps when using its electronic shutter. Ideal for fast-moving, unpredictable subjects like urban sports or wildlife, it captures decisive moments with exceptional precision. The viewfinder and monitor remain blackout-free, enabling confident framing with post view support.

In addition to standard live view shooting, the LUMIX S1IIE introduces H+ mode that prioritises burst speed in AFC mode, achieving approximately 10 fps with the mechanical shutter. The viewfinder and monitor remain blackout-free, allowing for confident framing with post view support.

Pre-burst shooting
The most reliable way to seize a photo opportunity is to turn back time and capture the perfect shot. The LUMIX S1IIE’s pre-burst shooting function offers options for 0.5, 1.0, or 1.5-second pre-burst settings. This feature enables you to capture hard-to-predict decisive moments, from the instant a water bird hits the surface of the water to the agile movements of an athlete.

Multi Exposure
The Multi Exposure function lets you take multiple exposures in a single frame, making it simple to create an unrealistic and fantastic scene or unique composition.

AI-powered WB Adjustment

AI-AWB
RAW processing in-camera now includes AI-powered white balance adjustment. The system identifies lighting conditions and fine-tunes white balance for each subject, ensuring beautifully balanced results, even in scenes with mixed lighting.

Create images with sharp focus from foreground to background

Focus Stacking*
The Focus Stacking function combines multiple images taken at different focus distances to deliver stunning depth of field.** This is brilliantly useful when shooting close-ups or macro photography.
