For the Apples:
2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced into medium-sized pieces
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon coconut oil
For the Topping:
3 tablespoons rolled oats
2 tablespoons almond flour (or any preferred flour)
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons sweetener of choice (e.g., stevia or monk fruit)
Steps
STEP 1
Cook the Apples:
- Place the diced apples in a microwave-safe small casserole. Add the water and coconut oil, and mix.
- Microwave on 1000W for 3-4 minutes, or until the apples begin to soften.
STEP 2
Prepare the Topping:
- In a separate small bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond flour, coconut oil, cinnamon, and sweetener. Stir until the mixture forms a crumbly texture.
STEP 3
Assemble the Crumble:
- Evenly sprinkle the oat mixture over the cooked apples.
STEP 4
Final Cooking:
- Using the conventional method, set the temperature to 180°C and let it preheat. Place the crumble in the microwave and cook for 12 minutes until it becomes crispy and golden.
STEP 5
Serve:
- Allow the crumble to cool slightly before serving. It can be enjoyed on its own or topped with a dollop of Greek yogurt.
