Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 1.25 cupsall-purpose flour
- 0.25 cupunsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.5 tspbaking soda
- 1 tspbaking powder
- 0.5 tspsalt
- 0.25 cupcoconut butter (or regular butter), melted
- 0.75 cupcoconut sugar
- 1 cupGreek yogurt
- 2large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tspvanilla extract
- 0.5 cuphot brewed coffee
- 50 gchocolate chips (optional)
Steps
STEP 1
Prepare the Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

STEP 2
Prepare the Wet Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk the melted butter, coconut sugar, Greek yogurt, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and well incorporated.

STEP 3
Combine Ingredients:
Gradually fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Pour in the hot brewed coffee and mix until the batter is smooth and lump-free.

STEP 4
Prepare for Baking:
Lightly grease a cake pan (18-26 cm in diameter) with a little oil. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

STEP 5
Bake the Cake:
Preheat your oven to 170 C (convection setting). Once preheated, bake the cake between 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool & Serve:
Allow the cake to cool before slicing. Enjoy it as is, or add your favorite healthy toppings.
