BLUE AG TECHNOLOGY APPLYING IN PANASONIC FRIDGE

Blue Ag is technology using high-intensity Blue LED light to active the silver surface of the Ag filter to create OH( Hydroxyl Radical). OH will  deactivate bacteria at the air flow in, then release the clean air for refrigerator.

Blue Ag

To verify effectiveness of Blue AG technology against bacteria, a test was carried out by Südsachsen Wasser GmbH  (SWG), Germany.

Reference test:
Testing the effect of Blue Ag against E.Coli and Staphylococcus aureus according to ISO 22196:2007 standard.
Conducting test with E-Coli and Staphylococcus aureus can verify effectiveness of test sample against several types of bacteria, such as Gram-negative bacteria (E.Coli) and Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus), as well as type Bacillus (E.Coli) & type Coccus  (Staphylococcus aureus).

 Methodology and Data
Organization: Südsachsen Wasser GmbH, Germany.
Object: Incubated E.Coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.
Device:
  1) Untreated Filter
  2) AG filter with Blue LED illuminated during the test, 24 hours

Method:
- Following ISO 22196:2007*
- Incubate 2 types of bacteria at 1/10NB concentration
- Put 10ml liquid including incubated bacteria on AG filter, and illuminate Blue LED light on it.
- After 24 hours, measure concentration of bacteria in 2 x 5 cm area of test sample, and calculate quantity of bacteria.

 Test results
-At the time test starting (t=0), sample contained 84,000 E.coli or Staphylococcus aureus
-After 24 hours (t=24h), E.coli grew to 48,800,000 and Staphylococcus aureus grew to 20,900,000 with untreated filter.
-With Blue AG, E.coli and Staphylococcus aureus reduced to less than 10, equivalent to 99.99% of E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus were eliminated from the case of untreated filter.

 Final conclusion:

According to the test results of Südsachsen, Wasser GmbH (Germany) - based on ISO 22196:2007 published on 07.07.2008: high intensity blue light on a silver crystal filter within 24 hours can eliminate up to 99.99% bacteria
