Spicy shrimp carbonara

Carbonara is a classic Italian favourite. Traditionally made with egg and parmesan cheese, it is rich an creamy. For people who do not fancy raw eggs, here’s a modernised version with cream.


Ingredients
- 3 tbspBertolli Olive Oil
- 15 ggarlic, chopped
- 6prawns, cleaned and deveined
- 3 buttonmushrooms, sliced
- ½ pkt San Remo Spaghetti
- 350 mlAnchor Whipping Cream
- 40 gAnchor Cheddar cheese
- Dash of McCormick Sea Salt Grinder
- ½ tsp McCormick Garlic Pepper Seasoning
- ½ tsp McCormick Mixed Herbs
- A dash McCormick Chilli Flakes
Method
STEP 1
Cook San Remo Spaghetti in hot salted boiling water according to the instructions on the packaging.
STEP 2
Drain the pasta and toss with some olive oil. Set aside.
STEP 3
Processor the garlic and button mushrooms in the Panasonic food processor.
STEP 4
Heat up olive oil in a frying pan, add in garlic and sauté till fragrant.
STEP 5
Next add in prawns and cook till colour changes. Remove and set aside.
STEP 6
In the same frying pan, add the minced mushrooms and sauté till fragrant.
STEP 7
Stir in the cream and the cheese.
STEP 8
Season with McCormick Garlic Pepper Seasoning, McCormick Mixed Herbs, McCormick Sea Salt and McCormick Chilli Flakes.
STEP 9
Simmer for one minute and toss pasta into the sauce and mix well. Add in the prawns.
STEP 10
Serve with an extra dash of McCormick Chilli Flakes over the pasta.
