Individual Charge Control and Smart Charge

BQ-CC65 features Individual Charge Control technology. It can individually charge one, two, three, or four eneloop or eneloop pro batteries in AA/AAA sizes in any combination. Smart Charge detects when each individual battery is fully charged and shuts off power to that slot before battery overflow, protecting and extending battery life. It is also extremely fast: you can recharge two AA-size eneloop batteries in just 90 minutes.

Note: Charging time is approximate and varies depending on temperature and battery condition.

LCD shares data at a glance

The large 3-inch LCD shares useful information about each battery, including charge and discharge times remaining, battery voltages, and discharge levels. It also displays end-of-life warnings, abnormality alerts, and battery condition, and you can see the total number of batteries that have been charged (or how many dry batteries you've saved) since you purchased the charger with the Eco Counter function.

Battery indicators
Abnormality

An icon warns if an invalid battery is inserted or if a battery is inserted incorrectly. It also tells you if a battery is no longer working. Electricity to the affected slot is shut down for safety.

End of cycle life near

This icon lets you know when one or more batteries is approaching end of life, so you have time to order a replacement. It reduces the chance of unexpected battery failure in the field, giving peace of mind to professional users.

Maintenance Charging

This mode revives over-discharged or overheated batteries by regulating the charging speed and rolling off power supply as the battery approaches full to avoid overcharging.

Refresh Function

This function reduces the risk of memory effect and restores batteries that have been left unused for a long time by discharging the battery and gently refilling it. Just insert your batteries and press the REFRESH button for about a second. After discharging, the recharging cycle begins. When complete, FULL is displayed on the LCD screen, and you can remove and reuse your batteries.

Note: Memory effect is a phenomenon that can occur in some types of rechargeable batteries. The effect occurs when the battery is repeatedly recharged before it has been fully discharged, causing it to "remember" the shorter capacity and eventually decreasing overall battery life.

Charge devices via DC 5 V USB OUT

BQ-CC65 has a DC 5 V USB OUT function that enables use as an AC adapter for charging your personal devices. This is useful if only one AC outlet is available and you want to top up your phone without unplugging the battery charger. Just connect your phone to the charger's USB port with a compatible cable, press USB OUT, and eneloop charging pauses until your phone battery refills. Press USB OUT again to resume charging eneloop.

Note: Batteries inserted in the BQ-CC65 cannot be used to charge a device via DC 5 V USB OUT function (AC power connection is required). REFRESH and DC 5V USB OUT functions cannot be used simultaneously. USB charging cable not included.

Press USB OUT to charge your device
Connect your personal device to the BQ-CC65, press USB OUT, and charging commences. While your device is charging, eneloop charging is paused.

Press again to resume battery charging
When your phone is full, press USB OUT again to resume eneloop battery charging. You can switch charging between batteries and phone anytime.

Using your battery charger

Step 1

Insert the batteries into the slots according to the indicated polarity (+/-). When inserting a battery, you should fit the battery’s negative terminal end first and then gently press the top of the battery into the slot. Pull out the positive terminal end first when removing the battery.

Note: Inserting the positive (+) terminal end of AAA batteries first may risk damaging the charger.

AA battery
Step 2

Connect the charger to an AC 100–240 V outlet using the supplied AC power cord. The battery indicators blink for a short time while the batteries are analyzed.

Note: Power cord plug configuration varies depending on the region of sale.

Step 3

When battery analysis is complete, the remaining capacity of each battery is displayed together with Eco Counter, which shows the total number of batteries charged by the device. Charging starts automatically, and the charging status is displayed. Press the DISPLAY button to view different information about each battery.

Step 4

When a battery is charged, FULL is displayed. Smart Charge detects its voltage and stops charging before overflow to protect and extend battery life.

Step 5

Unplug the AC cord from the outlet and remove the batteries from the charger as soon as possible after charging.
