Microwave & Toaster Oven

Question1. Why is the Convection Process not working properly?
Answer1.

It may be caused by the temperature sensor which is malfunctioning or circulating fan is not working or the heating element is malfunctioned.

Question2. Why does the fan motor whirrs a "running sound" after cooking is finished?
Answer2.

It is normal for fan motor to continue running for a certain specific time after cooking. The purpose is to cool down electrical components and maintain oven life.

Question3. What is Microwave Oven cooking and what are the advantages?
Answer3.

Microwave cooking means that microwaves absorbed by the food make molecules vibrate at about 2,450 million times per second. This vibration creates "FRICTION HEAT" throughout the food. (It's just like rubbing your hands to warm up) By using "FRICTION HEAT", Microwave Ovens cook food quickly.

The advantages are as followed:
Speedy Cooking ~ The cooking by microwave oven is faster than that of other conventional cooking methods such as gas or electric range cooking.

More Nutritious ~ The food cooked by microwave oven are more nutritious than that of other conventional cooking methods.

Cool ~ Your kitchen room will not be hot due to microwave cooking. Not only because we don't use physical fire but also, it has very little heating effect on the cooking utensils.

Safe ~ Microwave cooking without fire is safer by itself. And in order to assure complete peace of mind, National microwave ovens have several safety systems installed.

Clean ~ It takes no time at all to clean up the microwave oven, because food spatters in the oven are not permanent. All you have to do is to wipe up spills occasionally with a damp cloth.

Question4. What is Inverter Technology and its advantages?
Answer4.

Inverter Technology converts from using uncontrollable constant voltage and frequency, to a controllable voltage and frequency based on energy requirements. Its advantages are that lighter weight, small size, large oven cavity, saves electrical consumption and cooking time, even cooking result, etc.

Question5. After a "pop" sound, the microwave oven could not be turned back on and there is no display on the panel.
Answer5.

The fuse and capacitor could be defective. OR the diode could be faulty. OR the bulb could have been blown.

Question6. Why does the microwave oven always halt in the middle of operation?
Answer6.

There may be a malfunction of the temperature sensor or humidity sensor.

Question7. Why is there hot air coming out from the front door of the microwave oven?
Answer7.

It is normal to have air blown out from the front bottom of the microwave oven's door. The reason is that there is a fan motor operating to bring down the heat generated from the magnetron when it is on.

Question8. Why is there sparks in the microwave oven?
Answer8.

A non-recommended utensil or a aluminium foil was placed in the oven during operation. If that is not the case, please call the service department for service inspection.

Question9. During baking/grilling process of the microwave oven, the panel displayed "FFFF". Why?
Answer9.

The temperature sensor may be malfunctioning, you will need to call service department to send technician to check/repair the microwave oven.

Electrical capacity to be 15A or higher.

Be sure to use a specified plug socket.
Prevent from connecting multiple socket as it may cause the power cord to burn.

Do not install it near TV set or a radio set.

It may cause distortion of picture or noise if placed near a TV set or radio set.
Leave a space of 4m or more from a TV set or a radio set.
Keep away from heat or steam.
Heat or steam will cause parts damage or reduce the microwave oven's performance.
It is advisable to install the microwave oven as far away from the gas burner or other appliances emitting high heat.
Do not use it for other purposes.
Using microwave oven to dry handkerchief, napkins etc. will burn them thus causing fire.

Do not operate it with no food inside.

If there is no food inside to absorb the microwave, the oven temperature will rise abnormally causing a malfunction.

Necessary distance from walls.

There should be a space, no less than 2 cm from the right and left, no less than 10 cm from the back, and no less than 10 cm from above.

Avoid microwave excessively.

Avoid microwaving food beyond reasonable time frame. If food is placed in the microwave for too long, it will be charred or burnt.

Wipe away dirt immediately.

Coffee or sauce, spilt and left for long may make a blot. Wipe it away immediately with wet napkin. If it is too dirty, wipe it with napkin soaked in soapy water.

Do not use metal skewers.

When a metal skewer, aluminum foil or other metal objects make contact with the oven interior wall or door, sparks will be generated causing some trouble i.e. burnt mark, melted door, etc.

Do not cook any pressurized food or sealed container.

Do not attempt to boil eggs by microwaving, it will cause the eggs to burst and splatter inside the oven if the egg shell is not removed.
Boiled eggs with shell cannot be reheated by microwaving.
Crack or cut any shelled or thick skinned food. Be sure to remove the shell or make crack or incision in the food. If this is not done, the food will burst in the middle of the operation.
Uncap or uncork bottles without fail, as it may crack if it is not removed.
